As a kid I read whatever I could get my hands on, from storybooks to cereal packets and always swotted up for school spelling tests. I was devastated when I misspelled Czechoslovakia.
I came to Wales to read English Literature at Cardiff University and since then I’ve done lots of word-related things: trained in Proofreading and Editing Skills at Exeter’s Chapterhouse Publishing, worked in graphic design agencies and checked artwork and copy for layout and mistakes. I've also undertaken freelance editing and writing projects for businesses and individuals.
With a keen eye for detail and an obsessive nature for making sure things are right as right can be, I’ve proofread and edited all sorts of things: children’s short stories about talking chooks to a 538 page touring guide for Wales - cross-checking five language translations too.
I love writing. I go along to creative writing workshops and try to bring that creativity into the words I produce for businesses. I’ve done quite a bit of that; writing for all sorts of people like Design Wales, RBS and Newport City Council to name but a few.
